Holiday Stress Less

I CANNOT believe we have hit the holiday season. There is so much to  accomplished in this short amount of time. We have only about 4 week to prepare the meals, decorate, buy the gifts, wrap the gifts, arrange holiday parties, participate in all the school and community events and continue to manage the Day to Day.

I’m already tired! LOL but there is hope.

Here are 5 tips to keep your Holiday Stress Less

1. Give up Perfection- Eliminate the idea of the “perfect holiday” instead how about a amazing family experience. And you should also be having an amazing experience.

2.. Prioritize your Events.-Do you need to attend every holiday party and event? Probably not. Why not schedule some of those events for after the holidays or Just say NO… Give yourself some grace to not attend every event.

3. Give from the Heart- Running through every store trying to find the “PERFECT” gift. Why not give a gift from the heart. Last year we gave my parents letters from the heart. That meant more to them than a new blender. Making gifts from the heart shows you took the time to think about the people you love.

4. Plan- Create a holiday plan. Find out all the events you will have to attend and put them on your calendar, And if it's not on the calendar, it’s NOT happening.

5. ENJOY YOURSELF

I am so guilty of trying to create the “perfect” holiday experience. Shopping until I had an equal number of gifts for each kid. I vowed to create the perfect thanksgiving experience at times losing it and going off on my beautiful family just because the cake didn't come out right, that's not ok.

Take time appreciate the reason for the season. It’s a reminder to value the people around us, to show our love for the ones that are in our lives.

I look forward to spending time with you this holiday season.

Keep reaching for your SWEETEST LIFE,

Stephanie J
