New for Fall 2022.....

How many of you really want to eat healthy meals at home?

Meal prep takes time and some of us just don’t have the time and energy to prepare healthy meals. So, this month we are doing you a favor. For 4 weeks my husband and I tried out a meal prep delivery service. We tried Home chef. Home chef is a meal prep company that allows you to choose the meals you want. Each meal is nutritious and full of flavor, Easy to make and Delicious to eat.

Most of the meals so far have taken 20-40 mins to prepare. Each meal comes with all the ingredients you need. You will need to have salt, pepper, oil and pans to cook as well as an oven and stove top.

One of the things that I really liked about the Home Chef experience was that you get to keep all the recipes. The recipes come on a card with three holes and they provide you with a three hold binder with your very first order. I’m excited because we can re-create some of the orders that we really liked with our own ingredients!

I’m hoping to be able to provide you guys with the link soon but just in case you’re interested you may want to try it. You can just try one week and see how it works out for you and cancel any time. That's one thing I really like about it.

At the top of this post is a picture of one of our Home Chef meals. I can definietly tell you they have all been tasty and pretty easy to make. I hope to be able to provide you with a discount code, I think you'll love the conveience and flavor.

Thanksgiving Recipe

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I wanted to get this blog post out before Thanksgiving came. I really want to take an opportunity to talk about some healthy options for your Thanksgiving dinner.

In my eat this season series I’m sharing brussels sprouts, spaghetti squash, and some of my favorite homemade cranberry recipes just to name a few.

Fresh Cranberry sauce:

¾ cup Splenda

½ cup Orange Juice

½ cup water

12 oz Fresh Cranberries rinsed and picked through

Pinch of Salt

1 cinnamon Stick

1 piece of orange peel

Instructions:

  1. Combine Splenda, Orange juice, and water in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine.

  2. Add Cranberries, salt, cinnamon stick and orange peel.

  3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.

  4. Continue Cooking, for 10 minutes or until all or most of the cranberries have popped.

  5. Let cool for at least 30 min. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

  6. Can be made up to 3 days in advance.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving,

Stephanie J
